Minis on the Chiriqui Rally

Chririqui Rally

Wednesday 24th February 2010

The Chiriquí Rally is cherished car navigational rally held in Panama, Central America, and this year there were four Minis taking part in the action. The rally was held from 23 to 24 of January in the Chiriquí Province of Panama and open to all kinds of classic and performance vehicles.

George Blau from San Jose, Costa Rica, took part in the event in his Mini Cooper MPi and sent us in some great pics. The rally itself visits the mountain towns of Volcan, Rio Sereno, and David, all in the beautiful and green province of Chiriquí, Panama, about 30 miles from the Costa Rican border. 40 entrants took part this year and Minis finished first and second in class- a top result! One Mini came from El Salvador, two from Panama City and then George's car from Costa Rica.

The 2011 Chiriquí Rally will take place on the 22 and 23 of January 2011, and George is keen to see some more Minis entering next year.
