Going down to Newquay on the Riviera Run this weekend? Then get all the info you need right here.
You can pick up your free run plaque on route from MiniWorld's project Minis, Sheldon (G177 0WU) and Sputnik (P350 LUY) who will be handing them out on route. Please note run plaques are strictly on a first come first serve basis.
Run schedule
Start
Depart 9am, 3 May from Reading M4 Services Westbound, just west of M4 J11.
Stop 1
M4 Membury Services Westbound, heading off about 10am.
Stop 2
M4 Leigh Delamere Services Westbound, leaving here about 11am.
Stop 3 lunch break
M5 Gordano Services Southbound, leaving here about 1pm. Watch out for the fierce speed bumps!
Stop 4
M5 Taunton Deane Services Southbound, departing here about 2pm.
Finish
Trevelgue (about 115 miles from Taunton Deane) via M5, A30; follow signs from A30 Indian Queens.
Riv Run Activities at Trevelgue
Friday 2 May
Early arrivals and non-run Minis start arriving at Trevelgue. Check in at reception. Start the weekend with food, beer and entertainment from soul singer Bruce Parker.
Saturday 3 May
Trevelgue's fab indoor pool will be open all weekend. Time to get the cosies and Speedos out!
Afternoon: Riv Run Minis begin to arrive at Trevelgue. Check in at Reception and unload supplies. Then let the fun begin!
Early evening: Show off your Mini driving skills in a test in the Valley Field (weather permitting).
Saturday night: Hilarious dentist mime act El Loco will keep you entertained. Failing that, hit one of the bars and amuse yourself. Extravagant, crazy and/or embarrassing fancy dress costumes are welcome for the fancy dress contest. Also a general knowledge/Mini trivia quiz.
Sunday 4 May
A day of top traders, food, music and show 'n' shine at the on-site Mini show. Try your luck on the free surf simulator.
Cornish Mini Club Show 'n' Shine – entry costs £1 which CMC will donate to Children's Hospice South West. Be there early as the cut off for entry is 10am as space is limited. Around 1pm-3.30pm Show 'n' Shine will be judged in the main car park.
Around 4pm the Show 'n' Shine winners will be announced and prizes awarded at the main stage. Winners smile and pose for their photos in MiniWorld.
Late afternoon: Free cruise through the stunning, winding country roads of the Cornish countryside. Directions will be given out when leaving the main car park by organisers, Cornish Mini Club.
Return from cruise for an evening's entertainment at Trevelgue with a Blues Brothers tribute show and general knowledge/Mini trivia quiz final.
