Italian Job Charity Tour 2010

Italian Job

Wednesday 16th June 2010

This year's Italian Job Charity Tour starts on 29 October in Imola, Italy, and finishes back in the UK on 6 November.

The Italian Job Charity Tour first began in 1990, and MiniWorld has been supporting the event since 1992. Each year Mini teams, or 'jobbers' have travelled across Europe to Italy 'raising money for children in a fun way'. This year is the event's 21st birthday and aims to be the best year yet.

So far the charity has raised £2.3 million for children's charities such as KidsOut, and wish to continue with the same success they have had. This year the Italian Job Charity Mini Tour aims to push the overall fundraising total to over £3 million.

The organisers are calling all Mini owners (original and new) and owners of classic cars featured in the 1969 movie to join them. Some of these cars include the Fiat 500, Alfa Giulia, Jaguar E Type, Aston Martin DB4 and the London Cab.

Passionate Mini drivers from all over Europe will meet to drive in the tracks of the 1969 film through the Swiss Alps, across Italy and even onto the rooftop test track of the world famous Fiat Lingotto factory building (weather permitting). The tour will give entrants access to awesome race tracks and other attractions that money cannot buy, so it's a real experience.

Their newly re-vamped website, www.italianjob.com, contains all the information you will need about the event.
